Oh the things you will see

You’ll be on y our way up!
You’ll be seeing great sights!
You’ll join the high fliers
who soar to high heights.

I realize Dr Suess penned these words in his book, “Oh the places you’ll go” to teach children about the journey of life, and help them realize there will be struggles and there will be joys. There will be highs and there will be lows.

But I feel that Jesus was teaching this same life lesson when He spoke to Nathanael in John chapter 1.

“As Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him, he said, “Here is truly an Israelite. There is nothing false in him.” Nathanael asked, “How do you know me?” Jesus answered, “I saw you when you were under the fig tree, before Philip told you about me.” Then Nathanael said to Jesus, “Teacher, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel.” Jesus said to Nathanael, “Do you believe simply because I told you I saw you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than that.” And Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth, you will all see heaven open and ‘angels of God going up and coming down’ on the Son of Man.””
‭‭John‬ ‭1:47-51‬ ‭NCV‬‬

God wants to reveal so much to us. He wants us to soar with Him on eagle’s wings. We just have to be open to His adventure He has prepared for us.

In my new book, “On The Way – 40 days traveling with Jesus on the way to the cross” is just that. It is the adventure Jesus and His followers lived as they began their Amazing Race in 30 A.D.

Watch the trailer and listen as my husband reads an excerpt from his favorite chapter in “On The Way.”
