We would not be walking this earth if Jesus hadn’t made us. He was there before the beginning. When all there was, was chaos. He is THE ANCIENT OF DAYS. He and Father God are One. Jesus walked streets of gold. He was and is the GLORY OF HEAVEN.
YET…
Yet Jesus chose to set aside all that and become like us. He chose to leave heaven and become dependent on a mother’s womb for life sustenance. He who sustains life, who hung the canopy of stars, came and depended on mother’s milk to feed HIM. That my friends is the awe of Christmas, Easter and everyday in between. Or at least it should be. It should be mind blowing. He who was and is the radiance of heaven wanted so badly to be with HIS creation, He wrapped HIS GLORY with human skin and allowed HIMSELF to be laid in a bed of hay at HIS birth. In HIS humanness Jesus allowed HIMSELF to feel pain. He felt the knife stabbing pain of nails being hammered into HIS feet and wrists. Jesus who is our PROTECTOR subjected Himself to danger. He trusted HIS HEAVENLY FATHER to protect Him. Thus HE entrusted His toddler self to His adopted earthly father to get Him out of harms way. Jesus planted the tree that would one day be His own execution tool.
All because He would rather live with you on this earth than to live without you in Heaven. Jesus was willing to do whatever it took to be Emmanuel God with us just so He could be with us forever in Heaven.
”You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.“

One day we will all bow before King Jesus, either voluntarily or by force, but we will all bow before THE ALPHA AND OMEGA THE BEGINNING AND THE END.
Wow, you used 2 of my favorite biblical verses, John 1:1-4 and Revelation 1:8. Humbling verses to say the least but also restorative at the same time.
