We send a three word text, “On the way,” to let people know we will be there soon. We have a destination and people are waiting on us. It’s a simple text, but these three little words contain important information to let people know we will be there.
Over 2000 years ago God sent a text of love into our world. “ON THE WAY.” God sent us a Savior who came from heaven to earth to show us the WAY. Jesus came to lead us as we travel through this life.
Life’s a journey and no one said it would be easy. It’s rocky. It’s beaten down. It has ruts cut through it by those who have gone before us. At times life becomes hard to navigate. We have obstacles to go around, hills to climb, valleys to cross, and rivers to swim. Yet still it is an adventure to be lived out. Because God so loved the world, He sent us His only Son to guide us, and reroute us when we are lost. Our journey will lead us down dark and life threatening alleys. Tornadoes will rage all around us, but we will also rise to see beautiful sun rises and witness a kaleidoscope of colorful sunsets. Life is a journey both beautiful and fearful often at the same time. Jesus came to show us THE WAY to our Heavenly Father. He is our ship, and our rudder and our CAPTAIN O CAPTAIN. He is the Lighthouse that guides our path.
JESUS IS THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE.
Jesus asks us to enjoy the journey. He is with us every step of the WAY. He is our constant companion and He is the One who blazed the trail back to THE FATHER.
A life following Jesus is a life worth living. His disciples and followers knew this truth. They followed Jesus of Nazareth from the Temple courts, through the hills of Judea and the water well of Samaria. They knew first hand the love and compassion of Jesus because they witnessed it on a daily basis.
Join me on this journey and follow Jesus from the disciples side of His Story. All you need to follow Jesus as they did is an open seeking heart. Jesus will guide you through an adventure of a lifetime. He will write a story within you, a story worth telling to the world.
