Yes, I claim her. That’s my two year old granddaughter Quinn.
As I watched that video her mommy sent to me, I thought ”I CAN ONLY IMAGINE”. What was Quinn thinking, what was moving in her heart that caused her to throw up her hands, close her eyes, bob and sway her head with such abandon? The Spirit of the Lord was stirring her.
“Worthy is the Lamb of God – Worthy is the Lamb of God”
Did she see Him as she closed her eyes? Did she see THE LAMB OF GOD?
Moses had similair reaction one day as he met with God.
“So he cut out two stone tablets like the former ones, and Moses got up early in the morning and went up to Mount Sinai, as the Lord had commanded him, and he took the two stone tablets in his hand. And the Lord descended in the cloud and stood there with him as he called upon the name of the Lord. Then the Lord passed by in front of him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in faithfulness and truth; who keeps faithfulness for thousands, who forgives wrongdoing, violation of His Law, and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, inflicting the punishment of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations.” And Moses hurried to bow low toward the ground and worship.”
Exodus 34:4-8 NASB2020
The Lord descended and stood there before. “I CAN ONLY IMAGINE” The Lord passed in front of Moses. The Lord cried out and told Moses His character. Moses experienced every charactestic of God
COMPASSIONATE
MERCIFUL
SLOW TO ANGER
ABOUNDING IN FAITHFULNESS AND TRUTH (God’s faithfulness is limitless knowing no bounds)
GOD KEEPS HIS FAITHFULNESS TO HIS CHILDREN
Once Moses knew and experienced God’s character, he could do nothing else but fall to the ground in humility and worship.
May we all come to experience, know and recognize God’s compassion, His mercy, His patience, His faithfulness, and His truth. We can then do nothing buy worship HIM with abandonment.
We all have spiritual markers in our lives, this is one of mine. That is as close to pure worship as you can get. When Kellye showed me this a couple of weeks ago I was moved beyond words. A 2 year old worshipping the way all of us should worship. Nothing else distracting her from being in the presence of God.
Yeah I claim her too!
Pop pop
I looked up the word abandon and it means lack of inhibition or restraint which I think fits quin to a T.If only I could do that as an adult. Oh the faith of a child
